  1. After
    "...Kadhanangalil thunayaakuvaan veruthe orungunna mounam ", it is
    "poonthennalil ponnOLamaay oru pazhkkireeTam maRanjnu...", and "...Kadhanangalil thunayaakuvaan..." is not repeated.

  4. Its very difficult to translate to dear...
    If it is translated to english, the beauty of the lyrics will be lost...
    because its not like the modern adichu poli songs... Its a pure poem by kaithapram sir....
    anyhow its a sad song which describes the pain of the hero from another dimension...
    If you can understand the lyrics fully in your mind... You will feel it in your heart...
    Its because malayalam language is that much superb and sensitive...

  7. @AJ : As Yesudasan said it is very difficult to translate to any other languages. But I will try to translate few lines (pallavi) without loosing the mood of high end sorrowness which is created by some extra ordinary words used here.

    The situation of this song in the film is when the hero lost everything due to some unexpected incidents happened in his life. His life was going nice and things where all ok for him. He was expected to become a Police officer. But in some circumstances or his faith he becomes a Goonda and there by he lost his girl friend and his family. We can see in the film that he was not at all responsible for all that happened but his faith. Even though he was a tough guy, but this incidents made him, self depressed and his soul was crying.

    This song was a challenge to Poet to express the full emotions of the hero. and it was a gret success.

    Poothumbi = A typical dragon fly
    Kanneer poovu = The flower of tears
    Pazham pattu = Old music, here the poet compared it with the sound of that dragon fly.
    maruvakku = reply
    pullorkudam = a typical musical instrument which is made by a bulky clay pot and a string. mainly used to produce sad music.

    The dragon fly is the representation of his enjoyed life and it goes somewhere without waiting for a reply by just kissing the cheeks of flower of tears and with a humming of old sad music. The poet imagines that this humming was like the 'pullorkudam' vibrating music.

    This is a small try from my side.
